Burn Body Fat
The phrase burn body fat is a common term in today’s weight loss society and simply put means burning more calories
throughout the day than you consume. In order to lose more body fat during any weight loss program the individual
needs to burn more calories without depriving themselves of energy and nutritionally charged foods.
You cannot successfully lose weight by skipping meals. This triggers the body to conserve fat reserves by
slowing the metabolism and going into survival mode. This means in order to burn body fat the body needs food. The
body needs a constant supply of food as a matter of fact to ensure optimal fat burning function. This should come
in the form of 5-6 smaller portioned meals throughout the day to keep the metabolism revved. In this state the body
burns excess calories (and stored fat) faster.
Metabolism is the natural process of breaking the foods taken into the body down and using them for energy.
Exercise is another way to increase the metabolism and burn body fat. Through aerobic activity (running, bicycling,
walking, or dancing) or what is known as high-intensity intermittent-training (interval training) several times a
week you can keep the metabolism increased long after the workout is over. And the workouts are not that
lengthy—20-30 minutes per session.
Sleeping is also important as it ensures the body's systems (including metabolism) can operate at optimum
levels. By getting good and adequate amounts of sleep, eating a well balanced diet consisting of foods such as
fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains as well as exercising several times a week your metabolism will remain
elevated.
While foods such as asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, celery, cucumbers, leeks, all types of lettuce
and spinach, radishes, sweet potatoes, Parsley, peppers, tomatoes and zucchini as well as many of the fruits (rich
in vitamin C such as citrus and the berries) and their juices can actually help burn body fat such things as
carbonated beverages including diet sodas have a reverse effect on your metabolism as does alcohol
(depressant).
Catabolic foods such as the ones listed above work to burn body fat because it takes more calories to digest
them than they contain. They can be eaten with no thought given to calories or stored fats as a result of them.
This is especially true when they are eaten in their raw state. These same foods help suppress your hunger. This is
due to their high fiber content which not only helps the digestive system but it tricks the body into thinking it
is full.
People are learning the importance of rotating their eating and training plans because the body becomes
comfortable with our routines. In the beginning of our program our training/eating regime sparked the system to
burn body fat but in about three weeks when the body no longer recognizes it as exertion you stop burning fat.
This puts a whole new meaning to the phrase change is good. Every few days whole routine should be re-cycled
using similar strategies but in a new order. This in turn re-tricks the body into thinking it is safe from
starvation and can burn fat freely. Couple this with an exercise plan that alternates aerobics with other
activities and you can lose up to 9 pounds per every 11 days.
